Languages
Manuscripts are preferably submitted in English, though manuscripts
in other major European languages (French, German, Italian, Spanish) are acceptable.
Manuscripts
Two printouts of the manuscript must be submitted to the Directors. Please provide
two sets of xeroxes or printouts of the illustrations as well. In addition, all text files
have to be e-mailed as attachments to the Studies in Western Tapestry e-mail address.
Please send all text files as PC/MS-Word files.
Illustrations
The number of black-and-white and colour illustrations should be
agreed in advance with the Directors.
Authors should obtain all photographs themselves. Please provide photographs of the highest
professional quality, numbered on the back in pencil to correspond with references to them in
the text. The resolution of digitalized images should be at least 300 pixels per inch (ppi).
The black-and-white illustrations and the colour photographs will be grouped
at the back of the volume. Please refer to a black-and-white illustration as "(Fig. X)", to a
colour illustration as "(Plate X)".
Please group all tapestries that make part of a series. Illustrations showing drawings, designs
or cartoons of tapestries should be put close to the tapestries.
A list of captions including full details of the work should accompany the manuscript.
Authors are responsible for obtaining permission to reproduce photographs.
Documents
When unpublished documents are used, transcriptions should appear as an appendix.
Please refer to an Appendix as "(App. X)".
Editorial remarks
